On Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at approximately 9:00 PM, State Police in Middletown in conjunction with the Town of Wallkill Police Department started investigating a murder-suicide at 38 Anthony Street in the Town of Wallkill.
The Town of Wallkill Police Department responded to the residence after receiving a call to check on the welfare of the occupants at that locastion.
When Wallkill Police officers arrived they found two bodies inside the residence, and called State Police BCI.
Preliminary investigation at the scene determined that Michael W. Leroy, age 49, shot his wife D’Anne Leroy, age 46, with a rifle during a domestic dispute in the residence. Mr. Leroy then shot himself with the same weapon.
